What is the Society?
The Haslemere Art Society has a long history in Haslemere. It was founded in 1894 and now has over 120 members, professional and amateur.
What are the aims?
The Haslemere Art Society exists to support working artists and promote and foster interest in the visual arts for the residents of Haslemere and the surrounding area.
The society, through its programme of lectures, groups and exhibitions, hopes to inform and bring together anyone in the neighbourhood with an interest in art and give people an opportunity to meet socially.
What does the Society do?
Talks and demonstrations
The Society organises regular talks and demonstrations at the Haslemere Educational Museum. They are open to non-members as well as members and you would be most welcome to come and learn about a wide range of materials, techniques etc.

Groups
The Society has five groups that centre around the varied individual interests of the members

Annual Exhibition
All members may exhibit and sell their latest work; painting,
drawing, ceramics, sculpture and craft.
It is held at the Haslemere Educational Museum, every September.
Newsletter
Members receive a newsletter three times a year with news reviews and a programme for those who like to have a quick reference.
