Life drawing really can be for beginners
This is one of the ways it is done; and it is a lot less scary for beginners. In a session, several exercises will be given a time limit; this takes the pressure off because no one would expect a masterpiece in the time.
The one on the left was done in seven minutes and the one on the right in eight.
Also, beginners are encouraged to work on large sheets of cheap paper; again, there is less pressure because there is no need to be precise and you can use charcoal, crayon or anything that makes bold marks.
