Safety improvements for children of the village
There is little warning of the school short of yellow zig-zag lining on the road.
Children crossing the road have no protection from speeding motorists.
Shoppers crossing the road have to wait for a gap in the traffic.
We would like the following
- Zebra crossing outside the school
Children signs painted on the road
40 mph markings on the A283 at the village entrance
- A 20 mph restriction in the village
Surrey County Council has accepted the need for a zebra crossing and are looking for ways to fund it.

Road safety markings at Churt

The A287 at the entrance to the village. 40mph restriction painted on the road would slow traffic. A restriction of 20 mph in the village is surmised.
