Grayshott C of E Primary School
Grayshott CE Primary School is able to offer an all encompassing education to boys and girls aged 4 to 11 years. We are a one form entry school and have up to 210 pupils on roll. Class sizes are set at a maximum of 30 pupils.
Located on an attractive green site in the heart of the village, the school has its own sports field and a covered swimming pool providing swimming for every pupil from April to October.
The grounds contain a variety of environmental study areas including a Hidden Spiritual Garden, pond, bird hide and greenhouse. Additionally a netball court, a covered gazebo, soft surface play area with apparatus and other hard surface play areas are used both for playtimes and during lessons.
Reception and Year 1 have their own outside, fenced play areas with shelter to facilitate learning through play.
The school has its own living willow dome, "Wigloo" and a willow bed used to teach about sustainability. The school is also fortunate to have its own allotment off site which is used extensively as a learning resource.
Our school is a close and caring community which values each child as an individual. We aim to be inclusive and provide education of the highest quality within the context of Christian belief and practice.
Teachers are committed and encourage children to work to high academic, spiritual and social standards and have equally high expectations of good behaviour.
Grayshott CE Primary is a busy school offering a balanced, creative and varied curriculum, with an emphasis on literacy and numeracy.
We are a Church of England School; however children of other faiths or denominations are welcome. We feel we are a vital part of the community and have a close association with St Luke’s Church, Grayshott. Our links with both the church and the wider community are intrinsic elements of life at the school.
