Haslemere Stroke Club
THE HASLEMERE STROKE CLUB
Since 1990, The Haslemere Stroke Club has provided stroke survivors with group physiotherapy, entertainment, outings, companionship and support. A stroke is a catastrophic, life-changing event. Recovery is a lengthy and difficult process. The Haslemere Stroke Club helps stroke survivors of all ages by offering a range of activities with people who really understand the challenges of recovery. The registered physiotherapist is fully supported by a group of dedicated volunteers.
The Club provides:
· Weekly group physiotherapy sessions
· Weekly speakers/games/quizzes/music
· Trips/outings
The Club meets most Wednesday afternoons in a light and airy room at Holy Cross Hospital. There is a small subscription (currently £3). Transport can normally be arranged for a nominal additional cost.
