Circular Walks of 7, 16 or 27 miles SORRY - CANCELLEDThe 20 year old Hammer Bottom Charitable Trust raises money for local good causes. These walks will take in some of the beautiful countryside on our doorstep. Runners welcome too! There will be support on the day for participants (who are expected to find sponsors). The trust also gets financial support from local businesses.
In aid of Pancreatic Cancer Action, which focuses on improving early diagnosis of the disease, the 5th biggest cancer killer in the UK and with the worst survival rate, and improving the lives of those who have it.
Also for Action for A-T. AT stands for Ataxia Telangiectasia; a degenerative brain disease that affects various neurological systems in children. They are unlikely to survive into their twenties and have to endure a series of progressive physical disabilities during their short lives. Currently there is no cure so research is crucial.

Happy and Glorious! Long to Reign over Us: ConcertOn 9th September the Queen becomes our longest reigning monarch. To mark this momentous occasion Haslemere Festival with the Waverley Ensemble are organising a celebration concert. There will be appropriate readings and the music includes items for the choir, the orchestra and the audience. The selection is based on the music in the Queen’s Coronation Service and includes Zadok the Priest, I Vow to thee my Country, Crown Imperial, Trumpet Voluntary and Handel’s Fireworks Music.
