The Museum Inspires Me - Summer Exhibition

Don’t miss this collaborative exhibition as the Pavillion Artists return to the Museum to lead a group of local artists in an exciting exhibition and sculpture trail spanning the summer months. The exhibition will showcase the artistic talent in the area as well as drawing inspiration from the Museum’s remarkable collections interpreted their own styles and medium. Wave Week, organised by local churches

The aim is to bring the community together for free fun and relaxation, with a week of events and activities. From Monday to Thursday the Cafe on Lion Green will be open between 1.30pm and 5.00 pm, serving affordable homemade cakes, crisps, chocolates and other snacks, plus hot and cold drinks. Between 2.30pm and 4.00 pm there will be stories, songs and sensory activities for children aged 0-4. ​The cafe reopens between 7.30 pm and 9.30 pm when there will be evening entertainment with something for everyone: a folk night on Monday, a 'Bake Off' on Tuesday, a quiz on Wednesday, and a barn dance on Thursday (to be confirmed). The school of Rock Children’s Holiday Club will be running between 2.00 pm and 4.30 pm. Between 2.00 and 4.00 pm there will be '​Football on the Green' at High Lane. Member’s exhibit: Fascinating Foliage. Enjoy a relaxing afternoon and learn how to arrange flowers to delight your family and friends. A Crafty Get Together at Haslemere Museum

Come along and join Artist Diana Burch for a relaxing evening of crafts. Take inspiration from our European Peasant Arts Collection and create a 15cm square to be part of our community artwork on display throughout September. We will be using all kinds of materials in the best tradition of waste not want not! You could use sewing, appliqué, decoupage, wire, quilting or whatever sets your imagination going

Celebrate the Wonderful World of Beatrix Potter at Haslemere Museum

It is the 150th anniversary of Beatrix Potter and to mark this very special event, the Museum is celebrating with a fun-filled morning of activities from storytelling by the Haslemere Bookshop and lots of arts and crafts too. Take part in our garden trail to find some of Miss Potter's favourite characters hidden throughout the grounds. Afterwards why not stay and enjoy a picnic in the beautiful gardens of the Museum.
