2nd Annual Punchbowl 10 Kilometre Run

To celebrate the A3 closure, the Black Down and Hindhead Supporters have teamed up with Haslemere Borders Athletic Club to promote this run over a route only made possible by the closure of the old A3. Robert Monteath, chairman of the athletics club says that this run offers everything to serious runners, intermediate runners and walkers – a challenging course, amazing scenery and spectacular views. Last year 170 runners from clubs from Surrey, Hampshire and Sussex and other non-affiliated athletes including two from France took part in what could soon become a classic race. Sarah Bain, chair of the Supporters is delighted to co-host the event and show spectators and runners how their members can bring vitality and additional funds to the care of these very special commons.
