Grayshott Folk Club presents: Greg Russell & Ciaran Algar

We finish our 2014/2015 season on a real high with some talented, funny, award-winning young musicians: BBC Radio 2 Young Folk Award Winners 2013, Horizon Award Winners 2014, Best Duo Nominees 2015. Ciaran is one of the most exciting young fiddle players you will ever see – with a quirky wit to match – and Greg is one of the most appealing young singers and guitarists. Together they play a mix of traditional and modern Folk songs, along with their own compositions. Their two albums “The Queen’s Lover” (2012) and “The Call” (2014) have both garnered glowing reviews in the music press. Greg and Ciaran look set for highly successful musical careers.

Support: Kelly Oliver: Kelly is a passionate young singer/guitarist/songwriter who has travelled widely and has already packed a great deal into her short life. She comes from Hertfordshire and has recorded a session for Bob Harris’s “Under The Apple Tree” series.
