Historic Haslemere - An Exhibition at Haslemere Museum

An exhibition which reveals the fascinating history of Haslemere told through beautifully illustrated story boards where visitors will be taken on a journey about the history of the town. Some interesting and rare exhibits will also be on display as well as five paintings depicting the 1786 murder of an unknown sailor at Hindhead. The vicious nature of the crime shocked local people and the murder became famous nationwide. For anyone interested in local history, this exhibition is a must! U3A Meeting: Behind the Scenes at Chelsea, by Chris O’Donoghue

Drawing on his experience of designing and building medal-winning gardens at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, Chris gives an insight into how the show gardens are created. Chris is a family man who has lived in Kent and East Sussex for most of his life. The South-East is very special to him. He has a passion for its natural habitat and plants and a thorough understanding of the vagaries of the terrain and soil. Burns Night in the Heart of Haslemere!
