Celebrate Spring at Haslemere Museum

The signs of Spring are popping up everywhere and there is plenty to look forward too at the Museum during the school Spring holidays. On Tuesday 3rd April there will be a family drop in event. Young visitors can enjoy lots of spring crafts where there will be everything they need to make a spring paper lamb and decorative bunch of daffodils. The event runs from 11.00am to 3pm so why not bring a picnic and stay for lunch! Discover more about the Romans at a family drop in event on Tuesday 10th April and enjoy a fun-filled morning of Roman arts and crafts activities. Museum Explorer workshops run on selected dates throughout the holidays (parents do not need to stay!), and themes range from Marvellous Maps to Brilliant Birds. The sessions run from 10.30am – 12pm and are suitable for children aged 5-11 years (booking advisable) To find out more, visit www.haslemeremuseum.co.uk

Fernhurst Films present: The Hunt for the Wilderpeople

This warm-hearted, unpretentious New Zealand film has typically Kiwi humour - dry, offbeat and irreverent and it created a storm at The Sundance Film Festival. Duration 1hr 41 mins. Rated PG-13. Tickets on the door on the night. Licensed bar and wines, beers and soft drinks available from 7.00 pm, along with cafetiere coffee or tea and complimentary brownie. Colin is one of the UK's finest pop singers and even after 50 years in the business, he still sounds as melodic and as fresh as ever. Grayshott Folk Club presents: Joe Topping & Scott Poley

In my opinion, Joe Topping is the best male singer we have had singing for us at Grayshott in the seven years we've been going. He also happens to be a brilliant guitar player, a fabulous song writer and what's more, he's a really nice guy. Scott Poley is an exceptional guitarist and pedal steel guitar player who has played on some of my favourite albums with Cherry Ghost. Together they make some wonderful sounds and you might well ask: why has it taken so long for you to invite them back to Grayshott again? Plus Support (tbc). Tickets from Grayshott Post Office, Grayshott Wine Centre, Haslemere Bookshop, or call Des O'Byrne on 01428-607 096.
