Showstoppers: Part of the Haslemere Festival

Following last year’s sell-out show, The Haslemere Players are proud to present Showstoppers – Around the World in Musicals! – a fabulous programme of box office smash hits from famous West End and Broadway musicals with an international theme.
The audience can relax in a cabaret setting and delight in either tea with scrumptious homemade cakes at the matinee performance or enjoy a delicious two-course evening supper – whilst being entertained by some of the best voices in town! Although an undulating course Haslemere Bumpy Triathlon is a Sprint Triathlon (400 metre Swim, 20km Cycle, 5km Run) suitable for all abilities. The bike and running courses are through some of the most attractive scenery in Surrey and West Sussex. Haslemere Thespians welcome back their young people's theatre company with two one act plays

The Next Generation (11-16yr olds) perform "Ernie's Incredible Illucinations" by Alan Ayckbourn, a bright comedy about the extraordinary powers of Ernie Fraser, a dreamer with a difference who has a vivid imagination and whose thoughts have the disconcerting habit of turning into reality. And then "The Caged Birds" by David Campton, a short play centred on the cage's utterly diverse and interesting, yet self-absorbed inhabitants, until the day when the Wild One is introduced and attempts to coax the other birds to freedom. Rushmoor Male Voice Choir - return visit

Last year the performance was a sell-out event. Everyone was highly appreciative and the choir's enjoyment was reflected in spectacular singing. Among its distinctions, the Rushmore Male Voice Choir was invited again to participate in the Festival of Male Voices which took place at the prestigious Royal Albert Hall in the autumn.
