Rushmoor Male Voice Choir - return visit

Last year the performance was a sell-out event. Everyone was highly appreciative and the choir's enjoyment was reflected in spectacular singing. Among its distinctions, the Rushmore Male Voice Choir was invited again to participate in the Festival of Male Voices which took place at the prestigious Royal Albert Hall in the autumn. Tickets now available from the church's Open Door Lounge on Tues, Wed, Fri and Sat between 10.00 am and 12 noon. Do drop in for coffee or tea at the same times. Or tickets may be obtained by calling 01428-481 346, or through malcolmstravel@hotmail.co.uk. To avoid disappointment, please get your tickets soon. This charity concert is in aid of church development and the evening promises to be a delight.

Grayshott Folk Club presents: Low Lily

This delightful trio from Boston, U.S.A. is led by Liz Simmons, who came over from the States and played for us a few years ago, alongside Hannah Sanders. This time Liz is touring the UK with her new band and they are paying us a visit before heading off to the Maverick Festival. From Vermont, USA, Low Lily explores the roots and branches of American folk music, creating a unique brand of acoustic music that is rooted yet contemporary. Low Lily, Liz Simmons (vocals, guitar) Flynn Cohen (vocals, guitar, mandolin) and Lissa Schneckenburger (vocals, fiddle) are masterful players, composers and arrangers with deep relationships to traditional music styles ranging from bluegrass to Irish, Scottish, New England and Old Time Appalachian. We are delighted they have included Grayshott on their tour. Tickets from Des O'Byrne on 01428-607 096.
