What is Fairtrade?
Fairtrade is a trading scheme that ensures that Third World producers get a fair and stable price for their products. Extra income is provided so poor families can provide for their families, they can reinvest in their buisnesses and communities through funding for community health care, education and rebuilding project. In the Fairtrade scheme the environment
is one of the priorites, this is achieved through education and business development. The smaller farmers are also a priority within the scheme. All of this, put together creates a closer link between consumer and farmer.
