Andrew lived locally as a child and was educated at Fernden School and then at Winchester College.

He moved back to Haslemere in 1988 to establish Haslemere Travel with his wife Di. His two daughters were also educated locally at Highfield School and The Royal School.

Andrew was President of the Haslemere & District Chamber of Trade and Commerce from 1999-2001 and has been a committee member of the Haslemere Initiative since 1996. He is also a trustee of the Haslemere Milennium Trust.

Andrew is totally committed to the welfare of Haslemere, to the improvement in the quality and viability of its shops and services, and to this opportunity to devlop the town's potential at the same time as retaining its charm and character.
