These are comments put forward by members of the public at the formal Launch of the Healthcheck held on 15^th January 2003. The “dots” figure indicate that the suggestion was agreed with by that number of people.

There are some very nice cycle stands by the Library. Once the Landlord agrees, there will be some more at the Health Centre	You have to accommodate and tolerate HGV’s if you want your food and material items – they are NECESSARY
CPZ (Controlled Parking Zone) to centre on Haslemere Station and prevent/shift all day commuters parking off residential roads, e.g. Kings Road, Weydown Road, Denby Road, Church Road, Tanners Lane etc.	Commuters parking in residential roads 21 dots
Rail franchise should have a rail-link to Haslemere Station. This makes the service part of the rail network (fundable from same sources as commuter services) – service should run around Haslemere BUSES AND TRAINS	Parking in West Street and Weyhill should be banned 10 dots

	Grayswood Road pavement gets too narrow to push a wheelchair or pushchair along between ex‑ambulance station and Church Lane

	Would like to see a ‘no parking’ zone on the bend outside St Bart’s Primary School/ Derby Road/Tanners Lane? bend) Very dangerous for children trying to cross the road when coming out of school Also re‑routing bus route round Derby Road is exacerbating the problem
	Cyclists: 1. Improvement to road surfaces, particularly roadsides (resulting from utility works); Weyhill is a disgrace 2. More care when hedge cutting – long brambles which miss the scything machine are very dangerous 3 dots
	Train and bus timetables integrated for outlying villages and lower bus fares (it is cheaper but less environmental to take a cab!) 2 dots
	Railway – the railway service which has been so important to Haslemere has seriously deteriorated and it shows no sign of improving
	Parking fees refunded by local retailers of Petersfield
	Idiotic green light at Tesco traffic lights – INVISIBLE from Haslemere direction! 7 dots
