REOPENING OF WARDS IN 2013

On the 8th July 2013, LOF committee members joined the staff and managers from Virgin Care for the reopening of the inpatients beds after major refurbishment. The essential works programme was completed by the newly formed NHS Property Ltd., overseen by estates manager Mr. Jamie Andrews. The LoF works closely with the CCGs to make sure the beds in the two wards are now being filled.
Over the years the LoF has campaigned for Haslemere Hopsital and raised funds to provide extra equipment, ranging from specialist medical equipment to furnishings for wards and garden furniture.
We have been entrusted with money donated to LoF by supporters of the hospital, and we only use these funds for the benefit solely of Haslemere.

HHLof Auction

HHLoF Auction took place on 17th September 2011. The LoF thanks Louise Macinnes for arranging an auction at John Nicholson's Auction Rooms in Fernhurst, in aid of the League of Friends of Haslemere Hospital. The auctioneer, John Nicholson, raised £2,961 by selling a wide variety of lots kindly donated by local residents. John generously made it up to a grand total of £3,200.

Car Park

The Beech Road site was identified as suitable for a car park and funds to cover design and landscaping were provided by the LoF. Construction was completed in March 2010
and makes parking in both the hospital and
GP Health Centre much easier as well as
improving safety in Church Lane and Beech Road.

Skeleton

Skeleton donated by LoF to the Physiotherapy Dept, to enable patients to have a better understanding of their anatomy.
