Whilst the date allotted to the Jubilee is Tuesday 5th June, we will celebrate on Monday 4th June, for two reasons - firstly we will be able to take advantage of the infrastrucure in place from the Fringe Festival which will be held on the 2nd and 3rd of June on Lion Green, and secondly to enable everyone to enjoy the national festivities on the 5th June.

The theme will be "the Queen's reign and the Commonwealth", and we have written to all the embassies of the Commonwealth to request a flag for the occasion. Our streets will be bedecked with flags from every country!

In the tradition of Haslemere's previous Jubilee celebrations, we are delighted to be able to present a mug to every schoolchild in the area to remind them of this special day.
