The Founders day for the year 2009 was celebrated on 1st August, 2009. The day was very special to one and all as it coincided with Mr. Colin Uncle’s (Chairman of the trust) birthday on that day. The welcome address was given by the director Mr J Navamani, and further the birthday cake was cut by Uncle Colin followed by a variety of colourful cultural programmes given by the girls and boys of the trust and by the children of the Kings Boarding. The volunteers performed a wonderful song and dance.
The ‘Best Girl’ Award of the year was given to Paulin Jeya Rexi, doing her third year B.Com; and the ‘Best Boy’ Award was given to Israel Raj, studying std XI. The ‘Best Foster Mother’ Award was given to Mrs Banu, who made it a record by winning the award for the second consecutive year. She was praised and appreciated by Uncle Colin for her good works. Mrs Jothi Motha, & Mr Ravi, Trustees were also present for the function. Mr Kamay, Managing Trustee gave the vote of thanks and appreciated everyone who made the programme a great success.
