Tax Relief for Small Businesses
Haslemere businessman calls for re-introduction of tax relief for smaller companies
Christopher Ashton-Jones who, with his wife Carmen, runs Sheen Botanical Labels in Haslemere is calling on the Prime Minister to re-introduce the zero-rate tax band in order to help companies, in particular, smaller companies, at the present time. The £10,000 tax band was scrapped by the Government in 2006 and its reintroduction would be of enormous assistance to the thousands of smaller companies in what are going to be challenging years. The full text of his Petition, which has now been approved by No 10, is contained on the Prime Minister's Petition website.
The link is: http://petitions.number10.gov.uk/zero-rate/.
All those concerned about the plight of smaller companies in these uncertain days are urged to add their support to the Petition. The more people that do, the more chance it has of success.
