HYPE Exhibition Opens

Yesterday, (Monday 1st February) saw the Private View of the HYPE (Haslemere Young People's Exhibtion) team's latest exhibition - 'Teenage Piks'. The exhibition is the culmination of a project that has taken place over the past few months were HYPE members have been improving their photographic skills. They had the opportunity to take photographs in the Museum grounds, around Haslemere, on a trip to London to visit Tate Modern which also included a trip on the river, of items from the Museum's collection, on a bowling trip to the Spectrum and also to experiment with light sensitive paper.

The exhibition was curated by Jessica Topping and the private view was organised by Abigail Noad. All members of HYPE are to be commended on the quality of the photographs they have taken.

The Private View was attended by friends and family and also local dignatories including members of both Town and Borough councils and the Mayor of Waverley. Everyone was very impressed with the exhibition and standard and variety of photographs.

The exhibition is on at the Museum until the 25th February and copies of the photos are available to purchase. For further information please visit www.haslemeremuseum.co.uk or phone 01428 642112
