Adult Learning in Haslemere

There are now several places in Haslemere where adults can access various types of education.

Surrey County Councilís Adult Education www.surreycc.gov.uk click on >Learning >Adult learning >Find a course > scroll down to bottom of page and select Haslemere to view all SCC courses in the town. These are conducted in a variety of venues as shown in their printed brochure of courses. These are produced three times a year in March/April, late July/August and early December. Copies are available from Haslemere Library and other public buildings.

The museum has a changing programme of exhibitions and from
time to time offers courses for adults on specific topics.
It also hosts lectures for the Haslemere Natural History Society
and the Haslemere Decorative and Fine Arts Society.

The organisation exists for social events and adult learning. Daytime
classes are offered in a variety of subjects; tutors are volunteers and
most of the members are retired. The local branch is centred on the
Haslemere Hall. Subscriptions simply cover costs. There are no exams!
Courses are currently offered in art, history and literature, cookery,
computing, French, music, needlecraft and photography.
