We pride ourselves as being part of the Camelsdale village community and enjoying strong links with Camelsdale First School.

We provide a stimulating, but secure environment in which the children play together, have lots of fun, and begin to develop the social and intellectual skills which will help them later at school.

We are located in the Church Hall and have the use of the Church garden for outside activities.

We operate under the guidance of OFSTED.

Education

We aim to give your child the opportunity to participate in the following:-

  • Alphabet and writing skills

  • Numeracy skills

  • Painting and collage

  • Music and movement

  • Physical activities

  • Environmental and cultural awareness

  • Visits from people with specialist knowledge

  • Outings

    We are careful to maintain a balance between these activities and play

    Policies

    We will ensure that your child is provided, through caring, experienced and enthusiastic staff, with the basic social and learning skills that they will need for their development.

    Under the guidance of an enthusiastic and supportive Committee, the Playgroup adheres to a range of policies to ensure best practice.

    These policies are regularly reviewed and are available for inspection at any time.

    Sessions

    The Playgroup meets every weeekday morning and also offers, a whole day session for the older children who are approaching school age. Those that stay all day are taken to Camelsdale School by staff where they join the rest of the School for lunch and then have a supervised playtime in the School grounds, returning to Playgroup for the afternoon.

    Hours

    Morning: 9am - 12 noon
    All day: 9am - 3.00pm (available to 4 year olds)
