Sport Haslemere is an independent body representing sports clubs in Haslemere and its surrounding districts. Sport Haslemere's aims are to improve the town's existing sport facilities, to encourage residents to take part in sport and recreation, and to offer advice to Haslemere Town Council, Waverley Borough Council and other organisations on the improvement, refurbishment and provision of new facilities, and to maintain an up-to-date record of sporting clubs within the area. It will also provide the town and borough councils with opinions reflecting the views of local sports interests concerning the development of sport and recreation in Haslemere and will work to establish relationships with other sports councils and regional and national sporting and recreational bodies.
Open meetings are held four times a year and an Annual Awards Evening is held to congratualte local sports people, teams, clubs and schools who have been nominated by their peers.
