Hindhead Football Club reformed in 1970 and entered two sides in the Guildford League. A few seasons later a third team was added and since that date either three or four teams have been operating. A remarkable achievement for a village. The club have had ups and downs as far as standards are concerned. A cloimb to the top division of the Surrey Intermediate League was followed by a fall back into the Guildford League. As the climb began again the club switched to the Aldershot League where it now resides. League and Charity Cups have always been entered and a number of finals reached. Two finals being reached last season.
HFC have two pitches with excellent playing surfaces. the current pavilion houses all the necessary facilities i.e. showers, dressing rooms etc. to meet the requirements of the League. At present plans are well advanced for a new £½ million pavilion to replace the existing ageing one. It is hoped building will commence in a years time and when finished will provide some of the best facilities in the area.
The age range and ability of the members covers a wide band with a number of members having been with the club for well over twenty years. New members are always required and are made welcome and an effort is made to provide them with a game of football at a level best suite to their ability.
