Camelsdale Petanque Club

The Club was formed five years ago by people in the village who are also members of the Midhurst Twinning Association after they had enjoyed playing petanque - otherwise known as boules - during visits to their twin town, Nogent-le-Rotrou, in Normandy, France.

The club members constructed the Terrain in Camelsdale Recreation Ground and have recently doubled its size to allow up to six games to be played concurrently.

The Club provides facilities for members to enjoy the game of petanque on a social and competitive basis. The Club meets regularly at the terrain from 7pm on Monday evenings from May to September and competes in the North Downs League.

The terrain is also available for use by local organisations, clubs and associations for whom the boules are available for a small charge.

For further information, please contact Jan Boylett (01428 643631) or Peter May (01428 643901) or come along to the terrain on a monday evening where you will be made most welcome.
