Professor Leonee Ormond - "Tennyson in Haslemere"

A distinguished speaker in her field, Professor Ormond will talk on Alfred, Lord Tennyson, in the Lecture Hall of the Haslemere Educational Museum. She will focus on Tennyson’s life whilst in Haslemere.

Leonee Ormond is Professor Emerita of Victorian Studies at King's College, University of London. She taught at the college for forty-one years, and has recently been made a Fellow of King's College. She has published articles and monographs on many nineteenth and early twentieth century artists and writers, Charles Dickens, George Eliot, Rudyard Kipling,and Charles Morgan.

She is President of the International Dickens Fellowship, a member of the Executive of the Tennyson Society and Chair of the Society's Publications.

The lecture starts at 11.00am and tickets are £10 each.
