People's Poetry Competition
Open to all!

To celebrate the bicentenary of Tennyson's birth, we are running a competition which is open to everyone to find our own People's Poet. Of all the entries which are received by 13th March 2009, three from each age group will be sent to the Children's Laureate, Michael Rosen and he will pick a winner for each group.

Your poem can be on any subject which inspires you and should be of no more than sixteen lines in length.

The three finalists from each age group will be invited to attend the morning performance of Michael Rosen's event in the Haslemere Hall on the 22nd May when the winners will be announced.

To enter the competition, download the booking form from here (right click on the link and choose save), write your poem and send it in with the completed form. We look forward to hearing from you!
